Keith and Marilynn Hamilton retired in 1989 after 41 years of pastoral and missionary work, 21 years of which were spent in South America. In 1991 at the age of 68, they became involved in the area of Marriage Enrichment. Having been prepared by the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (A.C.M.E.) as facilitators and trainers, they introduced Marriage Enrichment in South America. Three years later the Hispanic work took on its own identity as the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment of Latin America (Asociación para Parejas en Enriquecimiento Matrimonial de América Latina -- APEMAL).

By the end of 2003, by God’s grace, the Hamiltons have been able to give more than 335 workshops in 26 nations, actually training persons from more then 80 nations. The Lord has totally surprised and blessed them with this new opportunity to serve Him and to see Him moving in the lives of participants in each workshop. It is an unending privilege and joy. Their goal is to equip others who will multiply the workshops to the ends of the earth. Some of those couples and singles who have been trained as facilitators (Level 2), instructors (Level 3), and advanced instructors (Level 4) are now actively sharing the workshops in other nations. These self-instructive books for couples were first formally published in Spanish by UNILIT, the editorial arm of Spanish House, in 1997. Their title is "Creciendo en el Amor Conyugal, Tomos I y II" The first English edition of the two volumes was created in 1998, under the title of "Growing in Marital Love, Volumes I and II". APEMAL adopted the name of REAPP (Relationship Enrichment by Applying Preventive Principles) when the books were translated into English. Since then the materials have been translated into a growing number of additional languages. Also in 1998 a team of instructors in Cali, Colombia, made an adaptation of the Marriage Enrichment materials so as to create the Taller de Relaciones Interpersonales Para Solteros (TRIPS, and the books were entitled "Creciendo en Nuestras Relaciones Interpersonales, Tomos I y II"(Spanish). A year later this material, too, was translated into English and became the Relationship Enrichment Workshop (REW) for singles. The books are entitled "Growing in Our Interpersonal Relations, Volumes I and II". They are being enthusiastically received by singles of all ages and situations. These four easy-to-follow volumes in English and the corresponding material in Spanish may be requested from the authors at their address in Indiana, from Certified Instructors in many nations in a variety of languages, or they may be downloaded from the Internet from this web site.

Marilynn was born in Indiana and Keith in Iowa. She completed her studies in sociology (B.A.) at Baldwin-Wallace College. Keith served in the Air Force during World War II and finished his studies in meteorology (B.S.) at the University of Chicago. Marilynn also completed her Master of Arts Degree (M.A.) in Spanish Literature from Indiana University. Both spouses completed theological studies at Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary (Master of Divinity) and are ordained pastors of the United Methodist Church. The Hamiltons are Specialists in Marriage Enrichment of A.C.M.E., and in 1999 were recipients of the Special Recognition Award of that international organization. They work extensively with Youth With A Mission (YWAM) and all Christian and indigenous churches and community groups of these nations. They have four living children, eight grandchildren, two great granddaughters, and in 1996 they celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary.

Ya preparados por la Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment (A.C.M.E.) como facilitadores e instructores, iniciaron la obra del enriquecimiento matrimonial en América del Sur. Tres Años más tarde la obra hispana cobró su propia identidad como la Asociación para Parejas en Enriquecimiento Matrimonial de América Latina (APEMAL). Por la gracia de Dios, en doce Años los autores habrán tenido el privilegio y gozo de presentar más de 340 talleres en 26 países de América del Sur, América Central, América del Norte, islas del Pacífico y del Mar Caribe, en varios países de Europa, Asia, Africa, y Nueva Zelandia a participantes de unas 80 naciones. Su meta es equipar a parejas y solteros para multiplicar los talleres hasta los fines de la tierra. Algunas personas entrenadas como facilitadores (Nivel 2), instructores (Nivel 3), e instructores avanzados (Nivel 4) ya están compartiendo los talleres en nuevas naciones. Estos libros auto-didacticos fueron publicados en español por UNILIT, la casa editorial de Spanish House, en 1997. ElTomo I(Nivel 1)de Creciendo en el Amor Conyugal presenta el Taller de Enriquecimiento Matrimonial (TEM). Es un taller dinámico para ocho a diez parejas, guiado por una pareja facilitadora, que equipa a las parejas participantes para que puedan dirigir su relación matrimonal hacia un crecimientopositivo. A través de un proceso que ha probado ser eficaz y edificador, las parejas reciben principios bíblicos y preventivos aplicables a sus propios matrimonios. En el Tomo II de "Creciendo en el Amor Conyugal" se encuentran 2 talleres de entrenamiento y un Taller Pre-Matrimonial. "El Taller Básico de Entrenamiento" (Nivel 2) prepara parejas como parejas facilitadoras. "El Taller de Entrenamiento Avanzado" (Niveles III y IV) los prepara como parejas instructoras y parejas instructoras avanzadas.

En 1998 un equipo de instructores en Cali, Colombia, ofrecieron adaptar estos libros para crear un taller para solteros. Así escribieron el Tomo I (Nivel 1) de "Creciendo en Nuestras Relaciones Interpersonales", el Taller de Relaciones Interpersonales Para Solteros (TRIPS). El Tomo II para solteros incluye los mismos talleres de entrenamiento nombrados en los tomos para cónyuges. Más luego estos dos libros también fueron traducidos al inglés, creando el Relationship Enrichment Workshop (REW). Los ocho libros ya están siendo traducidos a varios idiomas.

Marilynn nació en Indiana y Keith en Iowa. Ella terminó sus estudios en sociología (B.A.) en Baldwin-Wallace College.
