Welcome to our Enrichment Series segment!  Here is a bit of our story.  In 1991 at the age of 68 we became involved in the area of Marriage Enrichment. Having been prepared by A.C.M.E. (Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment) as facilitators and trainers, we introduced Marriage Enrichment to South America. Three years later the Hispanic work took on its own identity as the Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment of Latin America (Asociación para Parejas en Enriquecimiento Matrimonial de América Latina -- APEMAL).  In 1997 our books (first published by Spanish House) were translated into English as "Growing in Marital Love, Vols. I and II".  In 1999 these workshops were adapted for singles and two more books emerged in Spanish and English: "Growing in Our Interpersonal Relations, Vols. I and II". 

¡Bienvenido a nuestro segmento que contiene la serie de libros de enriquecimiento matrimonial y relacional! Aquí tiene un poco de nuestra historia. En el año 1991 a la edad de 68, nos involucramos en el área de Enriquecimiento Matrimonial. Ya preparados por A.C.M.E. (Association for Couples in Marriage Enrichment) como facilitadores e instructores, iniciamos la obra de Enriquecimiento Matrimonial en América del Sur. Tres años más tarde la obra hispana cobró su propia identidad como La Asociación para Prejas en Enriquecimiento Matrimonial de América Latina (APEMAL). En l997 nuestros libros, primeramente publicados en español por UNILIT, la casa editorial de Spanish House, fueron traducidos al inglés con los títulos "Growing in Marital Love, Vols. I and II". En l998 estos talleres fueron adaptados para solteros y 2 libros más emergieron en español e inglés, "Creciendo en Nuestras Relaciones Interpersonales, Tomos I y II".

By the end of 2003, by God's grace, we have been able to give more than 335 workshops in 26 nations, actually training persons from more then 80 nations. The Lord has totally surprised and blessed us with this new opportunity to serve Him and to see Him moving in the lives of participants in each workshop.  It is an unending privilege and joy.

Por la gracia de Dios, hasta finales del año 2003 hemos logrado presentar más de 335 talleres en 26 naciones, y actualmente hemos entrenado a personas de más de 80 naciones diferentes. El Señor nos ha sorprendido y bendecido enormemente con esta nueva oportunidad de servirle y verle actuando en las vidas de participantes en cada taller. Es un privilegio y gozo de indescriptible.

Our goal is to equip others who will multiply the workshops to the ends of the earth. Some of those couples and singles who have been trained as facilitators (Level 2), instructors (Level 3), and advanced instructors (Level 4) are now effectively sharing the workshops in their and other nations.

Nuestra meta es equipar a otras personas, las cuales multiplicarán los talleres hasta los confines de la tierra. Algunas de estas parejas entrenadas como facilitadores (Nivel 2), instructores (Nivel 3), e instructores avanzados (Nivel 4) ya están compartiendo los talleres eficazmente en su nacion yotras naciones.

What are the workshops?
Both the Marriage Enrichment Workshop (MEW) and the Relationship Enrichment Workshop (REW) are 22 hour experiences for couples or singles who are committed to growth in their relationships. The experience unfolds through a process governed by ground rules which create a sense of security, confidentiality and community. The main portion of the workshop is composed of a series of practical and positive presentations of biblical and preventive principles of communication skills, the creative use of conflict, and sexuality. After each teaching, these tools are immediately practiced through the use of more than 20 exercises which are first prepared individually, then shared with one another, and finally voluntarily shared with the group. All of the workshops end with inspiring celebrations. 

¿Qué son los talleres?  Ambos, el Taller de Enriquecimiento Matrimonial (TEM) y El Taller de Relaciones Interpersonales para Solteros (TRIPS), son experiencies de 22 horas para parejas y solteros comprometidos al crecimiento personal y relacional. La experiencia se despliega a través de un proceso guiado por reglas básicas que crean un sentido de seguridad, confidencialidad, y comunidad. La porción principal del taller se compone de una serie de presentaciones breves, prácticas y positivas de principios bíblicos y preventivos de comunicación, el uso creativo del conflicto, y la sexualidad. Inmediatemente después de cada enseñanza estas herramientas se ponen en práctica a través del empleo de más de 20 ejercicios, los cuales primeramente se preparan individualmente, luego se comparten con otro participante, y finalmente voluntariament se comparten con el grupo entero. Ambos talleres se concluyen con una hermosa celebración.

What is the Purpose?
The purposeof the workshops is to strengthen couples and singles in their personal and relational growth. Participants end the workshop equipped with tools which facilitate their ongoing growth. Healthy lives contribute to strong and united families and churches.

¿Cuál es el propósito de los talleres?  El propósito de los talleres es fortalecer tanto a las parejas como a los solteros en su crecimiento personal y relacional. Los participantes reciben herramientas que facilitan su continuo crecimiento. Vidas sanas contribuyen a familias e iglesias fuertes y unidas.

Are there workshops on different levels?
Yes - In Level 1 participants are trained in relationship skills (Marriage Enrichment Workshop or Relationship Enrichment Workshop) while Level 2 prepares Level 1 participants as facilitators to offer the workshop to others. Level 3 trains instructors who may prepare other facilitators. Level 4 is to equip advanced instructors who may train on the other 3 levels.

¿Hay diferentes niveles de los talleres?  Sí, hay. El Nivel 1 es el taller básico. El Nivel 2 prepara a personas como facilitadores para guiar el Nivel 1. El Nivel 3 prepara a instructores quienes pueden entrenar a facilitadores. El Nivel 4 prepara a instructores avanzados quienes pueden capacitar a personas en los tres niveles anteriores.

Who may participate?
Each Marriage Enrichment Workshop (MEW) is designed for couples committed to personal and couple growth. (Only nursing children who do not yet walk may attend.) Part-time participation is not possible as each session is built on the preceding ones. The Relationship Enrichment Workshop (REW) is designed to serve teenagers, youth, or single adults, separated, widowed, or divorced persons. Only full-time participation is permitted.  Make-up sessions may be arranged with facilitators.

¿Quién puede participar?  Cada Taller de Enriquecimiento Matrimonial (TEM) es diseñado para servir de 8 a 12 parejas conprometidas al crecimiento personal y conyugal. No se permiten infantes a menos que sean lactantes que no pueden caminar. Participación de tiempo parcial no se permite debido a que cada enseñanza se construye sobre las enseñanzas anteriores. Cada Taller de Relaciones Interpersonales para Solteros (TRIPS) puede servir de 16 a 24 solteros. Pueden ser adolescentes, jóvenes, o adultos solteros, separados, divorciados, o viudas/os. Se permite sólo participación completo. Cuando sea necesario, pueden arreglar sesiones de recuperacion con los facilitadores.

With todays advances in technology and the introduction of the Internet as a mainstream medium for information, ministry, teaching aids and entertainment etc., we have felt the Lord leading us to expand this ministry to make the  Enrichment resources available for free download.  Although the books are self-instructive, we recommend that you invite facilitators to come and train your group.  Then you will be prepared to pass the workshops on to others.  The University of the Nations of Youth With A Mission gives seminar credits for participation and training in the workshops.

Con los adelantos de la tecnología hoy día y la introducción del internet como corriente principal de información, ministerio, y ayudas para la enseñanza, entretenamiento, etc., hemos sentido la dirección del Señor para ampliar este ministerio y ofrecer nuestros recursos de Enriquecimiento para que los interesados puedan bajarlos gratis. A pesar de que los libros son auto-didacticos, recomendamos que inviten a instructores para guiar y entrenar a su grupo de personas interesadas y así ser preparados para compartir los talleres con otros.
