TANZANIA

Jeremiah and Beate Kiwinda (above) are directors of YWAM Tanzania.  They were so thrilled with the significance of the workshops for their own marriage that Jeremiah offered to translate the REAPP books into Swahili. Friend and co-worker Paul Kibona offered to help.  They are determined to share the workshops with all of the YWAM bases in Tanzania.

(Editors:  The YWAM base outside of Dar is in the beginning stages of development.  These folks are heroes of the greatest kind.  Let us pray earnestly for one another day by day.)

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC OF THE CONGO

(Editors: Antoine let us know that for them to go to a commercial business to download the books would be very expensive and asked if we might send them the books on a CD.  We did that.  If others of you have similar challenges, send us an email.)

SOUTH AFRICA

Johannesburg West.  "Greetings from Johannesburg in Jesus' mighty name!  Praise God we could get in touch with you!  Thanks for all your mails and the wonderful website.  It is exciting going through it and seeing what the Lord is doing all over the world......We really want to thank you both for the investment you are to our marriage and ministry.  We always talk about you to our friends. Gloria and I have been involved in getting the 4 month old Joburg West Base to start running.  The Lord has been so good opening the right doors and releasing the missionaries to run with the vision.  We are presently blessed with 10 staff members ..........The Family Ministries has continued to be a key area of our ministry in Joburg.  We have been meeting with Dr. Dennis and Ifeoma Agbazue for an hour most Sundays for Level 2 Growth Group couples.  We have run two Pre-marital Workshops since your last visit........The Lord recently confirmed our cry by sending us a missionary couple to join us on staff in the Family Ministries.  They are South Africans and have recently done the Discipleship Training School.   They will be going through Level 1 and 2 workshops in May.  Please do pray for the wisdom to see these programmes coming to pass........The Lord has been convicting us in the area of communicating with all the couples that have done the workshops in Joburg.  We have not been faithful with the follow-up.  It is our desire to start a weekly newsletter to all those that have done our workshops......To round up this year we will be running a Family Ministry School for four weeks beginning August 2003.  The focus is to train at least 10 couples selected from the YWAM bases in Southern Africa and to send them back to the bases to start running the workshops and head the Family Ministries.  We would want to seek your counsel in these regards, and if we can get facilitators that will want to be with us as we run the REAPP school.  Stay strong and remain blessed.  Yours for the family.  Gab and Gloria."  5/03.  Dr. Gabriel and Gloria Francis are the first Level 4 couple in Africa.

ETHIOPIA

Recently  Matthias and Susie Lange from Hainichen, Germany, traveled to Ethiopia for three weeks of intensive training with YWAMers and others there in the REAPP workshops.  They write:  "We stayed there with a team (3 families and a single lady) to serve in an orphanage and other mercy ministries.  Also we held a Marriage Enrichment Workshop and a Basic Training Workshop .  It was a very good experience.  The blessing of the Lord was with us.  Now there are four motivated couples in Addis Ababa.  They are going to translate the Vol. I from English into the Ahmarik language -- the main language of Ethiopia.  We are full of hope that the marriage workshops will continue in Ethiopia and will multiply..  Let us pray for these brothers and sisters in Christ.  With many blessings for you both."  Matthias and Susi Lange

CONGRATULATIONS, GERMANY AND ETHIOPIA!
