Ways of Support

PRAYER
Our most valuable support is prayer. We are incredibly encouraged when people pray for us. There are 2 ways of knowing how to pray for us.

1. We send out an email once a month giving an overall update on everything that is happening here.

2. We have a small team of people who pray for us on a daily basis. They receive emails regularly.

If you would like to be added to either of these email groups, please go to the contact page and let us know! We would be delighted.

FINANCIAL
We used to think that asking for money would be a terrible pain, but that was before we asked and before we experienced people giving. We could not have known what it must have felt like to be a part of the early church until we found ourselves in this situation. It has been an overwhelming blessing to be an extension of and dependent on the church body. Thank you for being a part of our lives. We truly believe this is your ministry and we are your representatives.

Ministry and Personal Needs
1. PA System and Soundboard ($5000) - sound equipment at local gigs is either non existent or highly unreliable. With our own set up, we can play greater variety of gigs and insure quality performance. We especially need this for our tour!

2. Travel ($3,000) - We've been asked to provide music training workshops in various southeast Asian countries including Mongolia and Thailand.

3. Band Operating Budget ($150 monthly) - covers transportation costs and perishable supplies for the band (ex. guitar strings, office supplies, etc.)

4. Personal Support (additional $400 monthly) - This will allow us to cover rising food costs and begin a savings and retirement plan)

5. Medical Insurance ($3500/year) - Every July, we have to renew our medical coverage for the entire year.

6. Furlough ($6000) - November 09, we will travel home for the holidays. This will be our only long trip home during our 5 year commitment here.

Shipping Information
Amazon ships internationally!

Otherwise, there are two options: US Postal Service or Balikbayan Box

For USPS:
There is a shorter delivery time (1-3 weeks), but you pay by the weight of the shipment. USPS is best if you are sending a small box or letter. (Letter=3 stamps, 1lb=$18.50, 8lb=$50) It gets very expensive the larger you go. Here is a link for more information: US PS International Shipping

For Balikbayan Box:
Balikbayan box companies ship large boxes to the Philippines. It takes 6-8 weeks, but there is no weight limit. Prices range from $90 to $150 for boxes averaging 20hx20dx20w. The same size box would be over $500 through USPS, FedEx, etc. This would be a good option if there is a group of people who want to go in together on a package. Basically, you call the company, they send you a box, you fill it up, they pick it up through UPS, then it ships from California to the Philippines. The websites are minimal. The best thing to do is call the representative and ask what their procedure and rates are. There may not be an office near where you live, but they can usually arrange to pick it up via UPS. Here are some options:

If you are in Tulsa, go to:
Phil-Asia Restaurant
3530 S. Sheridan Rd.
663-5011
