A DREAM FULLFILLED!!
This has been a pretty exciting last few months in the Rottier family. We spent New Years eve at Arnold's parents home and my father-in-law encouraged me to dream. I realized that I hadn't allowed myself to do that for a long time. I went to the Lord and asked what my dreams were. One of them was implanted in my heart twenty years ago. This dream was to write a book. I have now fulfilled this dream!!! Yes a Cup of Cold Water is now available to purchase and enjoy. It is a book written on the subject of hospitality. Working in hospitality again for the last few years has added a new dimension to the book. The book shares the heart and practices of the ministry of hospitality. I wrote the book specifically for my YWAM family, but to my surprise many non-YWAMers have bought the book and have given good reviews.
OUR FAMILY
Our home has taken on a new feel during the day as our little Mia has started kindergarten and is going full days. It has been a big adjustment for Mom and Dad as our home seems too quiet. It livens up again when our two teenagers enter the door after school. Mia loves her school and her teacher. We are so grateful for the great teachers all our kids have this year. The kids are really flourishing and enjoying life. They are all on a soccer team for two months and having great fun. Our Saturdays are gladly spent at the soccer field.
LOTS OF NEW STUDENTS!!!
As a YWAM base we have just welcomed 120 new students for this quarter. Many nations are represented and we enjoy being a part of their lives. The base is alive with students and teams going every which way. This quarter on the base we started with five schools : Discipleship Training School (DTS), School of Worship, School of Biblical Studies, School of Dance Studies, and Theatre Studies. The FOUNDATIONS IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT SCHOOL (FCD) that Arnold led in the spring is just finishing their outreach in Bosnia. Our students were such a blessing to that nation as they ministered to many individuals and churches.
PRAISE & PRAYER
We had requested prayer for getting a new vehicle since our old one had died. We are very grateful that we were able to buy a newer van for a reasonable amount. Thank you for your prayers. Through God's faithfulness 2/3 has been paid for and we are praying that we can soon have all of it paid for.
We have been asked to help with the next International Community Development School in Jamaica starting in January . This school is very significant in equipping key leaders in our mission in the Caribbean area and in Latin America. We would covet your prayers for wisdom whether we should all go as a family or just some of us, and for the airfares. Much prayer is needed for this school as it is a major undertaking and the enemy of our souls is not thrilled about it.
