Is language important to God?
Genesis 10:31-32
Many of us have been taught that the world’s cultures and languages came about as the result of judgment on those who built the Tower of Babel (Gen. 11:1-9). But even before then, God was working to multiply people groups and languages (Gen. 10:5,20,31). Cultural diversity has always been part of his plan for humanity.
One of God’s earliest commands was that we be fruitful and fill the earth (Gen. 1:28). The descendants of Noah who settled at Babel did not want to obey that command. Right after the flood, when there was one common language, they wanted to keep it that way. So God confused their language in order to get them moving again. When the Spirit came at Pentecost, he enabled all present to hear the message in their own languages, and one day all will be used to worship God (Rev. 7:9-10). At a conference in Thailand an American was having lunch with an Indonesian woman. Although the conference was being conducted in English, they spoke in Indonesian as they ate together. Tears began flowing down the woman’s cheeks as she realized that her language was important to God too. Consider learning another language so that God can show another ethnic group that he loves them too.
Read on: Psalm 86:9-10; Isaiah 66:18-21; Acts 2:6-11; Rev. 5:9-10; 15:3-4.

DC Road Trips - Oct., Nov., '08
In the month leading up to the 2008 elections Robert led 3 teams to pray in DC. Highlights: 1.) A week of 24/7 prayer on the West Lawn of the Capitol 2.) Seiging (prayer w/ LIFE tape) at the Supreme Court 3.) Prayer inside the U.S. Capitol building 4.) Live streaming of debates & TheCall San Diego from Justice House Of Prayer in DC 5.) Intercession in Lafayette Park, right across from the White House 6.) Prayer in the Washington Monument, overlooking the city of DC Bottom line: The Kingdom of God is stronger than any political party, transcendent over economics, and more permanent than the kingdoms of men. The prayer for His Kingdom to prevail over every area of American culture - including the government - is a prayer that will ultimately be fulfilled!

April 26, '08 -The Mercy Seat DC
We joined a nationwide simultaneous Silent Siege prayer event of every Supreme Courthouse in the US on the final day of Passover, applying the blood of Christ to the doorposts of the nation for the innocent blood of 50K children since abortion was legalized in '73. In DC we were focused on praying for a new seat to be opened up on the US Supreme Court bench, and filled by a righteous and just judge - a "mercy seat" to allow an extension of God's mercy over America. See www.bound4life.org for more details.
