Our Story
David: I joined Youth With A Mission with my DTS in 1996 in Winfield, British Columbia. I went on outreach to Guyana, South America. It was a truly worldview expanding experience that changed my life although I did not at the time think I would continue on in the mission. But God shortly after called me to YWAM Honolulu in January 1998 for the School of Biblical Studies Core Course. During that time and my School of Missions & Evangelism that same year in September I received a long term call to missions mobilizing Pacific Islanders in missions, specifically French speaking Polynesians into the North African Muslim world. Since then I have served on staff at the Honolulu base. September 2006 marks my tenth anniversary in YWAM. I have traveled to 19 countries on 6 continents. Erin: I joined YWAM in 2002 by doing a DTS in Atlanta, GA. My outreach was to Perm, Russia and God just blew the lid off my worldview and started directing me into worldmissions. January 2004 I came to YWAM Honolulu to do a School of Biblical studies. I had no intention of staying here, I was just passing through - deeping my foundation so I could go out on the missionfield. God drastically changed my plans after completing that school and I came back in January 2005 to join staff with the SBScc. During that time God spoke and did a lot to direct my future- giving me a call to the Pacific islands and I have heard the Lord recently concerning the ministry of reconciliation. There is much healing and reconciliation needed in the Pacific, and I am seeking God on how he may use me to bring this message to the Islands.
