Dear Friends,
Do you remember School Assembly? You know, those endless meetings put on by the teachers for reasons that were not always apparent. The great thing about assemblies was always the chance to get away from regular classes and see the latest spectacle put on by our fellow students (hopefully being just a spectator and not actually having to perform yourself).

Last month we held such an assembly and I was struck by the difference between the meetings we had in our secular public school and the ones that we hold now in our Christian school. This time the occasion was “Language Day,” a celebration of the Spanish language.
Sound boring? Strangely enough it wasn’t. Imagine being in a school with a Missions focus and with several bilingual students. Songs were sung, but in Spanish, English and more. A passage from Psalms was read in FIVE languages, including Japanese!
The Colombian flag was raised, but more were present, a constant reminder of our history of sending graduates to the nations. The meeting is held in one small room in a school in Bogota, but you leave with the impression that you have just travelled the world.

In 2009 we will be celebrating 25 years of ministry, a celebration of much more than the students who have passed through our ministry.
We will be remembering the tremendous privilege we have had in sending missionaries to the nations, educating families in how to raise up Godly children and helping to transform a society in great need of the arms of a loving Father.

¿Where are we going Lord?
The dream of having our own campus is still alive and well, but we don’t know where it is located! To be honest, we are praying and asking God, “what do we need to do or where have we failed?”
Economically, we have approx. $33.000.00 US to buy land, but that figure is much less than we need to move forward. In order to buy the land we need approx. $300.000.00 US, (now that the US dollar has devalued so much in Colombia over the last three years).
Please help us to pray for supernatural provision for the Campus Project.
We thank you for your attentive ear in prayer
and sharing what God speaks to you with us.
From The Director
Oh, how much I value God’s call on my life! What would become of each one of us if we lived without a defined path and a clear purpose from God for our lives!?!

The last 24 years working with the Millennial Generation, its parents and all the missionary staff that have gone through this ministry, speaks of God’s: great faithfulness, His presence, providence and wisdom over all of us.
When we first started to realize the vision that God gave us (to see Christian leaders established in the nations with Kingdom principles), it was just a dream. It has been the sense of purpose and the conviction of our call that has motivated us and given us the strength to continue.
We know that a large percentage of our former students have made a difference in the areas that God has placed them, whether that be in university, businesses, schools or in ministries of Youth With A Mission International.
At the beginning of this year God spoke to me through His Word in Isaiah 43:19 “…I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth; Shall you not know it? I will even make a road in the wilderness And rivers in the desert.”
The last part of this verse, “…I will make a road in the wilderness… is the hope of the near future. We continue with our eyes fixed on Him and we move forward until we reach His high calling!
We know that that there is no greater privilege than serving Him in the extension of His Kingdom by forming the future leaders of the 21st century.

Prayer Points
- for our students and their year end projects.
- for the students who are planning to do their school of missions in January, for the needed provision and for their visas, where necessary.
- for our school for parents, that we would see a new move of the Spirit.
Thank you for taking time to read our newsletters.
