Dear Friends,
Greetings from a tired, but happy family. The last few months, post Canadian outreach, have been full and have continued to be busy and bring changes.
Since the beginning of this year, Patty and I been working with a new YWAM ministry; Mobile Teams - Evangelism & Missions. The ministry itself is new, but the Director Carlos Lamprea has been a YWAMer for 23 years and has worked in evangelistic ministry throughout South America.

As you might suspect by the name, the principal focus of the ministry is evangelism, but with a big emphasis on missionary training and church mobilization. It is a great fit for us as a couple. Not only do we get to be involved with outreach teams, but we have the freedom to use our giftings in teaching, communications, logistics and international relations. Even better, we can continue with projects and ministries dear to our heart like with Auxy & Nidia in Beautiful Flower.

This is Mobile Teams’ first year, but we have already been involved with several outreaches and touched thousands of lives. Carlos has ministered from the mountains of Bogota to the Colombian jungles and was a big part of Mission Canada 2007. We also have been mobile with five, week-long seminars this year in addition to the Canadian outreach and our communications work.

Celebrate Christmas!
Every year at Christmas, Patty and I look for some small way to touch the lives of the needy children here in Bogota. In the past, we have helped to arrange Christmas gifts and parties for hundreds of kids.
We purchased a digital camera for Project Beautiful Flower
with an offering from a US church.
This year, as part of our continued efforts and our work with Mobile Teams, we have the ambitious goal of touching the lives of 1000 children in the slum areas of southern Bogota. You can be a part of that goal. Should you wish to help us "Celebrate Christmas," you can do so through your donations. These gifts will be directed towards the purchase of toys, clothes and school supplies for some of the neediest children in Colombia.
The children from YWAM Medellin's boy's home were praying for a new TV.
The 15 year old, 13" model; was a LITTLE hard on the eyes for 20 boys to watch.
With your help we were able to supply a new 21" TV for them.
They were literally jumping with joy!
You can send your gifts as you would for us personally and then send us an e-mail letting us know that the donation is for "Celebrate Christmas." Your gift should be received by us by no later than December 7th, so that we can make the needed purchases.

In Testimony and Thanksgiving
God has been and always will be good to us, but there are times when things get rough. Two years ago, when the Canadian dollar started gaining strength, so did the Colombian Peso, but the peso took Steroids. In very little time, we lost 25% of our income just because of the exchange rate. As we prayed about what to do, God spoke to us about selling our car before leaving for Canada. We were not thrilled with the idea, but it seemed the wise thing to do.
Well, the very exchange rate that had hurt us before was now a God send. After we sold the car, even with the depreciation, when we turned the money back into dollars, we ended up making $200.00! In other words, we bought a new car, we used it for a year and a half and then we sold it at a profit! Only God can guide like that.
We still had some debt and in the normally bleak summer season with our supporting churches and friends investing in Mission Canada, we expected that debt to grow a little.
However, even with outreach expenses and the new expenses of James’ schooling, God has been faithful. We stepped out in obedience, trusting in Him and as of two months ago, we are debt free and our budget has stabilized!
El Camino (The Way) Academy
In August, two of the McCrea children started school, James & Patty! James started in kindergarten and Patty in Pre-kinder!
Its true! Our five year old man of the world started his formal schooling this August. El Camino is a school that was founded for Missionary and Pastor’s children in Bogota. Although it has grown to have many other Colombian students, the strong English speaking missions focus remains. Studying here will give James a North American style education and be a place where he can embrace both of his cultural identities.
Patty is in pre-kinder, but working as a teacher’s aid. After two years of being at home, we felt that it was time for her to get into more active ministry once again. Being at El Camino gives her the opportunity to use her teaching skills and at the same time improve her English. We suspect that God has other plans for her, but we feel that this is her place for now.
