On Tour!
Dear Friends,
Greetings from Colombia! The year is well under way and so is our list of tasks.
Our plans this year consist of several trips, including one to a country that we cannot name here, and various outreaches, in addition to seminars, consulting etc.
All in all it should be a lot of fun and a big challenge.
We are also looking to the future, especially for Patty. Her passion is to teach and we are looking and praying for the right opportunity for her. Her time this year as a teacher’s aid in an English speaking school has been beneficial, but we know that God has other plans for her.

This summer we will be visiting the US from May 28th through July 31st.
We will be landing in Miami and then our plan is to drive up and across the southern US, out to California, possibly up to British Columbia and then cross the Northern US before making our way down to Florida again for our return to Bogota.
We hope to visit a lot of friends, do some camping and also to preach and share about our work in Colombia in the process. We will be sharing about our ministry in Bogota with Mobile Teams - Evangelism & Missions, and about the ministry of YWAM Medellin and their work with orphaned and abandoned children.
We have received some invitations already, but are still looking for ministry opportunities. Write soon!
Please be praying for us as we explore how she can best serve in the ministry and also for our travels this summer.
Beautiful Flower News
The last few months have seen a lot of activity with Seed of Eternal Life (SeVe), but two events caused great excitement.
For the kids, it was the annual Christmas Party put on by our church in Bogota. This event saw more than 120 children brought down from the mountain to enjoy a time of presentations by the church. Then they were given the opportunity to show their diverse talents in a hour long program before they were served supper and each one received their Christmas gift from the congregation.

As project advisors, we were thrilled to see the fulfilment of a dream that God gave us three years ago. "SeVe" is now the proud owner of four building lots that will allow the ministry to grow and expand with the neighbourhood!
However, the really exciting part was in what happened next. Just as we were completing the purchase of the land, the District School Board started the construction of a new school for 5000 children - right in front of our lots! This means that not only will we have tremendous ministry opportunities in the future, but also that the city is now starting to build real roads instead of the present dirt paths and land values are going to go through the roof. God showed up right on time to allow us to build for the future while the land was still inexpensive.
Celebrate Christmas!
Our goal for Christmas was to provide gifts for 1000 children. We looked to organizations like Samaritan’s Purse and to our friends and sponsors for their help. Because of your generosity we were able to provide more tan 1100 gifts to needy children in Bogota and as far away as the jungle regions of Choco, Colombia!
