Our Wish List!

used by permission Every Missionary has one; his or her long list of the things that would make their work and/or personal life easier. Many never share their list with anyone and most only share part of it. Us? Well, there are some things that we won't share (like Patty wanting a tummy tuck and lipo.....whoops! Well, actually Darren could use a bit of lipo too), but here is our wish list. Some things a little crazy and many things faith stretching. Please pray with us about it. God can really surprise you with just what He provides. We, will be adding new things as our needs and sense of humor allows. *** See below for a list of answered prayer items from the wish list. *** - A Digital Video Camera. Being that people no longer wish to look at stick images and play-doh when we develop promotional materials for different ministries, we need to modernize! - A DVD Recorder. No joke, we have to store all the film somewhere! - A Hewlett Packard Colour Laser Printer. This too is a step toward the 21st century. We have been sending out our newsletters etc in black and white to economize, but now the cost of printing in colour is such that we would like to make the switch and thus be able to show our supporters better what God is doing. - A house or Condo in Bogota. Mark 10:28 Then Peter began to say to Him, "See, we have left all and followed You." 29 So Jesus answered and said, "Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My sake and the gospel's, 30 "who shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands... We are not asking for the hundreds times, but hey; who likes to pay rent? - A European vacation. When Patty prayed for God to send her to London all her life she never imagined that she would end up married to a Canadian from London, Ontario, Canada! Now, feeling somewhat cheated (hopefully not in the husband), she still has her dream of visiting Charles and Camilla; since they are now a respectable God fearing couple. Also, while being in the global neighbourhood, we would like to visit friends and churches in Sweden, Ireland, France, Holla... "OK Patty, enough! I'm running out of room." - To be contestants on Extreme Makeover. - To be in the Amazing Race. We even have the language problem licked for several countries! - A life time membership to The Hairclub For Men or a really classy mop. Answered Prayer!!! - A CAR! Yes, the former taxi driver and his number one babe are really tired of busing it around Bogota. Now we will be hauling around two children, accessories and ministry stuff and are starting to consider buying a rickshaw if nothing else becomes available. *** Praise report. As of Dec 05 we now have a wonderful new car. See our March 06 newsletter for the testimony.- A multimedia projector. Not just another bright idea, we could really use one to present our teaching and bring the ideas visually alive. *** Praise report. As of April 2006 we now have a shining new Epson Multimedia projector. This will be a tremendous help in our seminars and other ministry activities. This projector was donated by a generous supporter from the U.S. with the help of some friends in the purchase.
