The New Wine
------------------------ I am a YWAMer, and here's my story...
For the better part of a decade I abused drugs and alcohol and towards the end of my addiction, I became homeless. While trying to live in a weekly hotel and hold a job to pay rent and supply my addictions, I finally surrendered my life to Jesus. Shortly after, I found an outreach home and began recovery.
Falling in love with the Word of God, I pursued a new life in Christ that years later would bring me to Urbana '06. In that missions conference, I discovered that God had a plan for my life to send me to the poor and marginalized as a missionary.
I joined InnerCHANGE in the summer of '07 and spent the next two years in heavy spiritual formation as I lived and worked among the homeless of San Francisco's Golden Gate Park and the Haight Ashbury district. In August of '09 I felt God calling me to join YWAM and their mission to the homeless in the Tenderloin district located in the heart of the city. Home to the highest concentration of poverty and crime, I am eagerly waiting to see what God is going to do in my life and the lives of those around me.
Jesus has clearly made all things new for me and I invite you to drink from the cup of this new wine by joining me in prayer and seeking His Kingdom.
