Brad's Top Ten Character Priorities
Brad’s Top Ten Character Priorities learned while being in ministry to pregnant teens: 10. Expect the best in people and communicate accordingly. 9. Be open to change and trying new ways of operating the ministry. God doesn’t usually consult us; just wants our trust. 8. Operate with a 24/7 lifestyle and not a 9 to 5 mentality. The girls and other staff will notice if you are willing to put relationship ahead of time schedules. What price would you pay for the girls to surrender their heart to Jesus? 7. Be consistent, fair, and impartial. Don’t play favorites. 6. Keep a short leash on disagreements with both the girls and the staff. Honesty and intimacy within friendships can curb offence and build deep, lasting relationships. 5. Remember that you are living out your daily life on show for others as a testimony of God’s love and integrity. 4. Serve the other staff and their needs: physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Be a good friend. This includes getting underneath your leadership and pushing up their vision, while trusting God for yours. 3. Intercede regularly for the girls, the staff, and the world. 2. Receive God’s love completely so that you can adequately and appropriately give the right kind of love to others. (Meaning: His love is selfless, righteous, servant-hearted, and builds others up toward growth in love with Him.) 1. The quality (current & active) of your relationship with God will snowball into your passion and effectiveness concerning your relationship with the girls, other staff, and your family.
