Meet the Team:
Lynsey Cuthbert Lynsey is Scottish, married to Alistair since 1997. They have a son called Nathan (born in Dec 2001) and a daughter called Amaris (born August 2004). She has been in YWAM since 1998, completing the School of Biblical Studies and The Biblical Teaching and Preaching School. She is a full-time mum and works in her ‘spare-time’ on the development of the SBS DLC. She has a BA (Hons) in Marketing and Hotel Management and an AA in Biblical Studies with the U of N. "I love the School of Biblical Studies. I did the school in 1999 and it really did change the way I read the Bible! It is so liberating to read the Bible using the inductive method... ...When Phil asked me to come on board to run the SBS Distance Learning Course, I was delighted because I think that this method of study should be accessible to everyone regardless of location or circumstances. It is great to think that people in offices, people on the mission field & people at home with families etc are being given the chance to study the Word of God"

Phil Leage
Phil is from Brighton, England. He is the Director of the King’s Lodge Biblical Studies Network of which the School of Biblical Studies Distance Learning Course (SBSDLC) is a part. He joined Youth with a Mission in 1983 taking a School of Evangelism in Lausanne, Switzerland and then a School of Biblical Studies (SBS) in Hawaii. After a further years training he returned to pioneer the SBS programme at the King’s Lodge in the Midlands of England. His work since then has been with the SBS, the SBSDLC and the Biblical Teaching and Preaching School, working in England and various other nations. “Over the years that I have been working with the School of Biblical Studies I have often had people express in interest in doing the school, but they have been prevented from doing so because of their particular life situations. For this reason being able to offer the SBS in distance learning format is something that I have been wanting to do for a long time. When Jennifer Cuthbertson asked to be involved in making this vision a reality, I was very excited. I knew she had the time and expertise to adapt the residential course material making it suitable for distance learning. It’s a joy to welcome Lynsey Cuthbert to the team. Lynsey has taken over from me as Director of the course, and already her skills and enthusiasm are making a marked difference.”

Jennifer Cuthbertson Jennifer is a woman with a passion for God and His people. An educator, she takes a keen interest in cultural learning styles and modes of thinking. Jennifer and Martin, her husband became involved with Youth with a Mission in 1986, after Martin was "surplussed" from his job with Mobil. This actually came as a blessing, as the family (they have 2 children, Rebecca and Luke) was able to move on with God and away from Midland, Texas. They remained in YWAM, working with the school of biblical studies for 10 years. Currently, Jennifer travels and teaches at various Schools of Biblical Studies and Biblical Preaching and Teaching Schools. She regularly teaches in England, Nepal, South Africa, and Malaysia. Jennifer developed the sbsdlc materials during her years of involvement with the sbs.
