An international staff team is coming together to lead the third School of University Ministries and Missions, a freshly re-designed 12-week course to equip campus ministry workers in Youth With A Mission around the world. The SUMM's purpose is to prepare campus ministry workers for reaching today’s university students and mobilizing them into traditional and non-traditional missions involvement in strategic places and new collaborative processes.
Participants will research the migration of students, target colleges and universities for engagement, and learn how to equip today’s students for effective witness in their generation and in various areas of society: government, education, arts and entertainment, media,
Participants will gain understanding and practical knowledge of university student ministries in a variety of contexts, cultures, and historical and contemporary applications.
The practical and biblical course curriculum includes: 1. Apostolic Call to the Universities
2. The Notion of Calling, Historical and Biblical Implications 3. Pioneering Campus Ministry and Staff Development
4. The History of Student Movements
5. The Character of a Campus Ministry Worker
6. Cross-Cultural Ministry and Mission
7. Campus Revival, Campus Worship, Intercessory Prayer and Spiritual Warfare
8. Biblical View of Leadership, Culture, Jurisdiction (Spheres of Society)
9. Student Leadership & Team Building
10. Field Project Leadership / Internship Coordination
11. Evangelism for a Post-modern Generation ”
