Why be a SMC Student Project Associate?
As a Student Project Associate, you will spend a full year serving with one of YWAM’s University Ministries in 31 countries and 71 cities developing funding proposals and managing field project relationships. You will manage new or previously-implemented SMC projects under SMC’s new programmatic model, while living with one of YWAM’s University Ministries communities. SMC is looking to fill Student Project Associate positions with people who have a strong collaborative spirit and a willingness to work with people from all different backgrounds.
This position involves a short yet intensive training phase in the United States beginning with a one-week training seminar, followed by a minimum of 12 months of ministry partnership with one of our YWAM’s Campus Ministries. The Student Project Associate assignment may be renewed by SMC and the staff member upon completion.
Requirements Fundraising Requirement: Student Project Associates are required to raise a minimum of $750/month for their personal travel and accommodations expenses. A monthly staff fee of $50 USD and an administrative fee of 10% is debited against your monthly support to help propel SMC’s mission.
Education Requirement: Applicants for Student Project Associate positions must hold at least a bachelor’s degree and be of sound mental and physical health. Applicants with management experience who are detail-oriented, highly organized, and self-directed will be favored. Previous experience in the developing world is preferred but not required. Successful completion of the Discipleship Training School and Field Assignment is also required.

Invitation Applicants who have completed the initial application will receive telephone interviews to complete the application process and determine when and if they qualify to serve. All applicants must be available to attend the SMC training in Madison, WI.
