YWAM Ozarks has a major need... Serving a community of 20-25 staff and students with a four burner electric stove has taken some creativity. And while logistically we foresee outgrowing this arrangement by the fall, we've also realized this is not legal for a commercial operation.
Extreme Makeover Needed: Our property includes a large cafetorium (cafeteria/auditorium) but it needs a few repairs, like a new gas line, HVA/C, modified venting, septic system, floor tile, ceiling tile, bathroom work, moving a wall, and kitchen equipment. When functional, it will give us not only room to cook and eat, but a large auditorium for public events, a coffee house ministry, and more classroom space.
We have raised $40,000 towards the first step, the kitchen, and have a project manager for June/July. With all volunteer labor, I think we have close to enough funds. We need to finish the kitchen by late-September when our next DTS and SBS students arrive. This is an investment that would multiply the number of people we can train.
How you can help
Volunteer If you have a few days to spare, we would ask you to prayerfully consider volunteering for any of the following tasks: electrical work, carpentry, metal work (for the roof), refrigeration servicing, floor tiles, HVA/C, fire suppression, plumbing, hanging the frame for the ceiling tile, experience in purchasing used kitchen equipment or 5-ton HVA/C units. Donate With more funds we could pay for some of these tasks to be done.
