In 2005 we were able to work on the septic system of the clinic. This stage of construction is quite expensive and requires a lot of hard work however is all "underground" so it's hard to see the progress. Soon we will be able to bring this part to a close and continue on to the more exciting task of raising the walls.
God has brought a wonderful lady named Astrid to our staff who loves the whole area of construction and not only carries the vision of the clinic in her heart, but even more importantly, her sense of calling to disciple and teach the men of the community as they learn and work together is really a "God-thing"! In the midst of a macho culture it is clear to see that God has brought Astrid to Bocachica for a purpose because the men respect and admire Astrid and they love to work underneath her humble, servant leadership.
