King's Kids Rwanda
King's Kids is a worldwide ministry of Youth With a Mission. It is focused on working with children, teenagers and families. As King's Kids International it is our desire to see children, teens and families knowing God in a proven and intimate way. For more on King's Kids International (KKI) see the website. King's Kids Rwanda is a young ministry in YWAM Rwanda. Mid 2007 it was launched with the first camp for teenagers. Currently we are running camps for teenagers is the holiday's and are running a program together with Aprecom for children in- or affected by HIV/Aids. There are also 2 community programs for children who meet every Saturday for fun, games, worship, sport, teaching and prayer. We have 4 staff people at this moment.
In many African countries children are not valued, so also in Rwanda. And even if people have a heart for working with children or teens they have simply no idea how to do that. It results in children that know God in theory and bound by cultural believes or tradition. King's Kids Rwanda want to be part of bringing a nation wide change to this. To do this we have different spearheads. Discipleship of children, teens and youth. We aim to do that through our camp and setting up a year round discipleship program. Family ministry. Helping parents and families to understand the Biblical way's of relationship and family so they raise healthy and stable children. Training. Training those who feel called to work with children and youth. We will have seminars and conferences and YWAM UofN courses (see training in the menu) Partners with local churches and organizations and influence the way they approach their children, teens and family programs.
